Here is how the media should be reporting this morning's news.

As part of a growing pattern of political retribution, Donald Trump's FBI has raided the home of a prominent administration critic. In this instance it happens to be John Bolton. The pretense is largely irrelevant.

I used to go at enormous lengths debating my fellow Ukrainians (especially pro-Israel ones) telling them that if we lose the war, our situation will be very much like that of Palestine. People laughed at me.
"Russia and the United States have discussed Israel’s occupation of the West Bank as a model for ending the war in Ukraine"

“Ukraine will never give up its sovereignty. But the reality is it’ll be occupied territory and the model is Palestine.”

An abomination.

Faculty who wrote to defend their president and object to a DOJ investigation of their university...are now being investigated by the DOJ.

For almost 2 years, the claim of mass aid diversion by Hamas has been the pretext for Israel's illegal policy of obstructing & restricting aid to Gaza.

It was never plausible.

Now, as deaths from starvation mount, senior Israeli military officials admit that it was a lie.

Violent or destructive right wing protest is framed as emphasing the need for urgent action on the protesters' stated cause.

As always, right wing men are treated as elemental forces without agency.
This is a bit of a atretch/hope: there were 5 protests, with the largest two being up to 300 people, a total of around a thousand or so people.

The Supreme Court is out of control. To allow the president, without any explanation, to unilaterally dismantle agencies created by an Act of Congress is to endow the president with sovereignty. There is no justification, because they haven’t given one. Our country is in big trouble.

One thing that keeps me up these days: how is the next party in power supposed to govern? The GOP has signaled it will not always be bound by laws or international agreements it disagrees with. It’s not absolute — they blew up part of reconciliation, but not all; ignore some court orders, etc. (1/7)
