Post you from a different era

Early 80s; very proud of my Wonderful Woman Underoos. Walking around in my older sister’s marching band boots to complete the outfit.

This is the best.
The pagan-friendly Anglican church in my small, rural English village would have no problems with Episcopalians! Here, for example, is our vicar blessing a pagan Obby Oss (performed by my husband) before a Beltane procession: our annual pagan/Christian/all-faiths-and-no-faith May Day celebration.

What? You mean people who medically neglect their children have a much lower rate of their children receiving an autism diagnosis, which can only be done by the doctors that they refuse to take their children to see?

Who could possibly have predicted such a thing?

Battle doomscrolling by posting 5 small pleasures in life:

1. A purring cat stretched out across your lap

2. A hot bath with no distractions

3. The perfect slice of chocolate cake

4. The feeling of the first really warm day of spring

5. Crawling into bed with sheets just out of the dryer

Finally saw a page from the book in question and honestly the whole “it’s because it is such an early phonics reader” argument goes out the window for me. The ‘ea’ in speaks and ‘ng’ in sing are digraphs. If you are already including digraphs then the kids are ready for a much wider vocab range.

The farthest I’ve been:

North: Munich, Germany 48 08 N (narrowly beat out Seattle at 47 36 N)
South: Wellington, NZ 41 17 S
West: Samoa 171 41 W. Just a layover. If we are counting places visited then it would be Honolulu, Hawaii 157 51 W
East: Waimārama, NZ 176 59 E
