My hope is that people read this story and understand the necessity of providing continuous training to law-enforcement agencies regarding ASD, effective communication, and non-violent de-escalation tactics in order to stop tragedies like this one from happening.

The right has long hated Head Start because they think it helps women work outside of the home.
My staff is hearing reports from Head Start programs in Oregon that they're still locked out of federal funds. My office is doing everything it can to get more info and get funds flowing before providers have to start closing their doors.
