KIRO 7 ran an article and two TV pieces on the theft of a box truck full of arcade PCBs, artwork, and machines from my workplace yesterday. If anyone in the Seattle area sees someone offloading a ton of CPS2/NAOMI/Neo Geo PCBs, stuff of that nature, please reach out.

I have scanned and uploaded the extremely rare Nintendo company guide from 2000: archive.org/details/nint...

This is my first attempt at archiving my collection so I expect the quality will improve as my process does

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Surprise! 25 3DS prototype builds are now available! Many come from E3 2010.

There's plenty to explore as I go in-depth with these previews in this special video.

Microsoft have officially confirmed that pirating Steam games "is an Xbox", as long as you check in with Copilot every so often to see how its feeling.

In response, the Gamer's Advice Bureau have issued an safety advisory to not maintain prolonged eye contact with Microsoft.

32%? Those are rookie numbers, you've gotta get those numbers up. (At least its 40% or something for Windows users as a whole.)

All these game re-releases would be less annoying if companies didn't make such a big deal about them. Back when we had E3, they would've just been footnotes.

A REQUEST: If you own a French CD-ROM computer game called "Pop Anim'", please let me know. I could use it for some research but haven't been able to find a circulating copy yet. (It's at the BnF but I can't get there right now.)

Apparently Yoji Inagaki worked on all the non-enemy sound effects in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. He did sound effects for Luigi's Mansion too, but not sure on specifics. But out of any game I know these two Zelda games have the closest atmosphere to Luigi's Mansion.

Are there any other action games that have these sort of low-poly, bitcrushed, noisy, kind of creepy robot bosses like in Sonic Rush? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et2J...

Can someone post a workaround for these UK/EU age verification checks, using a virtual camera? These checks are on discord, twitter, bluesky, xbox now. And the "sensitive" content its restricting includes protest/war footage and games with high age ratings.

in any case, i'm proud of what we (almost entirely Xkeeper) have accomplished in just a few days. once this is polished up and usable, i am confident it will revolutionize SMB2 modding. the core concept can also be applied to other games with some effort (e.g. replacing the level loading routines)

Has anybody made hardware to test if two joystick modules behave the same way - same physical movement and same electrical output?

Because it seems like the longer-lasting third party ones can differ from the originals.
