I should have added that the “brilliant physicist“ stuff is directly related to Thiel’s post-democracy agenda. Basically these people are trying to convince each other (& us) that they’re the cognitive elite who obviously should be in charge of everything because they’re way smarter than us plebs.

I would think that even a half-assed general strike would force lots of apolitical people and people not paying attention to realize that something is actually happening, however recent events in MN have already broken that barrier so it really doesn't seem necessary
