My first published article was about ramps at ancient Greek religious sanctuaries. I argued that we based on where the ramps are most prevalent (healing sanctuaries), we can say that they were built with disability access in mind. I was awarded a prize for this article, which felt great.

Early on my "doing appearances" life, Wil gave me some of the best advice about why being "on" matters. He said that in the course of an event I'll see hundreds of people, and won't remember them all, but THEY will remember every second they spend with me. So make those seconds good ones for them.
I remember asking Wil Wheaton at the first PAX East how he managed to smile and stay personable for so many hours at a stretch.
He's Wil, so his answer was "Oh, it's a Class Feature." Damn, that guy's smooth.
