This is literally what the slogan "nothing about us without us" originated out of in the disabled people's movement and I think trans rights organising can sometimes miss our connections to the social harms of medical authority and disablement.

Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

Since Watson is in the news for dying, it’s appropriate to have seen this in the Whipple museum today. It’s the story of how Franklin’s name was added to the plaque outside the Eagle pub.

I reject the attempts to blame individual or specific judges for these issues. The 'enemies of the people' narrative is appalling. But if we are to restore public faith in the judiciary, especially among marginalised groups, we must address the structural prejudices within our institutions.

Here’s my open letter to the Hampstead Heath charity and its sole trustee, the City of London Corporation. In it, I reminded them that they have the legal right to petition Parliament to preserve the existing trans-inclusive access arrangements.

In one of the most famous and impactful moments of the 1945 campaign Churchill's election broadcast accused his opponent Atlee of likely requiring "some form of a Gestapo" to impose socialism.

That backfired then. The same attempts by Tories to paint the left as the real fascists fails today.

The departure of Tim Davie and Deborah Turness means the BBC is leaderless when it needs leadership more than ever. Where are the people at the head of the BBC standing up for it?

Can anybody think of a good way to get alerts when a specific play is being performed near me (or 'anywhere in the UK' really, I'm happy to do my own filtering for nearness)? I think there used to be a thing that did that for gigs?

Yeah, it's not that Labour's "life changing policies" aren't connecting, it's that they ARE.

Even if you don't fall into one of these groups, you're going to know & care about someone who's disabled, non-white, queer, or old, or a combination of those. And Labour have shafted ALL of them. Hard.
"Life changing policies"

1. You'll be poorer
2. Or destitute or dead, if you're disabled
3. If you're already poor, we're upping the likelihood that your kid will die
4. We're arresting your gran for terrorism, if she survived winter
5. Make Britain racist & queerphobic again!
6. Ban the trans
Why aren't Labour's life-changing policies connecting with voters - and what can the party do? It's down to messaging, how it's told, and the messengers...
