I think people are conflating prestige/political journalism with the whole industry.
Absolutely not true, and this is why current and former journos are up in arms on here.

As a former journalist, I’m disgusted and angry. As a US citizen, I’m enraged.
Hey, congratulations to all of Olivia Nuzzi’s horny media critic defenders. Heckuva job!

Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

Cousin got the flu and can't host Thanksgiving. Then her SIL was going to step up, but her daughter might need gallbladder surgery. So I called an childhood friend who had asked invited me over with his family...only his wife's mom is in the hospital. What is up this year?

I think we can safely say that the Leavitt's brother called ICE on his ex, the mother of his child, and I have to say: I have no desire to respect, find common ground or share the country with these monsters.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
‘Brazil is not her home.’ Mother of Karoline Leavitt’s nephew, brought to US as child, detained by ICE. - The Boston Globe
Bruna Ferreira, 33, was brought to the United States as a child in 1998. She is now in removal proceedings in Louisiana.

Well, it appears I can no longer get my favorite tea, Mariage Freres Russian Breakfast, because they are no longer delivering to the US due to the tariffs.

I broke my collarbone in second grade sledding down a hill—it was next to a building and I slid into a outdoor stairwell.

Fun story, mom didn’t take me to the ER for 3 days bc she thought I was being “dramatic” about the pain.
I’m sorry but I can’t stop laughing, yeah we would sled down hills in the winter with whatever we had on hand, toboggans, crazy carpets, tubes 😂 someone always got injured because of jumps on the hills or wipeouts #Canada

Got some blood drawn at the doc today and as I walked in I heard a guy loudly ask another tech, "Are you a Christian?" My tech and I rolled our eyes at each other.

I started getting a tech newsletter that includes suggested prompts for AI research and…they are really long and detailed. Like…just do the research. That’s the fun part!

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

I did some freelance writing for an industrial hygiene company and this was a big topic (they sold paper towel dispensers)...gotta wonder if there's something going on here
At this point, the Washpost edit page is just trolling its readers.

This is today's actual house editorial.

An ICE agent was caught removing a sign marking an ICE kidnapping in DC last week! Do we think he did it out of anger, embarrassment, or most appropriately shame? If you think what you’re doing is right, why are you trying to hide the evidence? 👀

My friend called me "wild and wise" and I said those characteristics would seem to be in opposition. To which she said, "That's what makes you a perfect paradox of a woman" and you bet that's going on my dating app profile.
