New e61 research on 2018 Child Care Subsidy introduction found it had no measurable effect on maternal labour supply and limited increase in child care use (none for low-income fams).
Reasons include more stringent activity test and disincentives from effective tax rates

Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.
