Treat the Coalition’s nuclear policy as what it is. A distraction.

It's time to go nuclear on the Coalition's stupidity
Any other party would be blasted for announcing this policy.

The CSIRO affirms its view that Australia wouldn’t see first electricity generation from nuclear for about 15 years.
It’s be nuts to try and replace the capacity of the retiring coal fleet with nuclear as it’ll be a decade too late.

When Peter Dutton releases the nuclear ‘costings’ later this week (as he’s committed) keep your eye on what’s actually at stake - the necessary energy transition

Australia wants to co-host COP31 with Pacific nations, but by 2026 will Australia be a climate champion or will we see another episode of petrostate greenwash?

As @amyremeikis.bsky.social explains, ending fossil fuel subsidies is a good first step. #auspol

The Electoral "reform" Bill is, tbh a crock that will lock in the major parties and squeeze independents and new entrants.

The NSW government can set us up for a clean energy future by ruling out gas connections in new homes. knittingnannas.org/2024/11/18/b...
Ban gas connections in new homes
NSW is not on track to meet any of its legislated climate targets. An easy thing that Victorian and ACT governments have done to reduce emissions is ban gas in new homes. But NSW has no such plan.
