I know it's Christmas Eve, but an Ontario animal sanctuary (pet pigs, horses, etc) just had their water tank system fail. It's going to cost over $3000 to fix it, and it's an emergency situation (the animals have to have water).

Please donate/share if you can:

If you have a hard time with character voices and knowing your characters, write short stories about them. The only way to get to know your characters is to spend time with them, and if your characters all sound the same, the reader won't connect.

NDP MP @jennykwan.bsky.social was among the 30-person delegation Israel turned away from visiting the West Bank.

But when she called me, I Iearned why her staff told me the incident was worse than what's been reported -- and that TWO Israeli officials laid hands on an MP.

Here's what happened:

The exploitation of Space continues

It is a classic - a Commons overused with governments and more and more private companies leaving their waste, polluting it, and workers and our communities will pay the bill to clean up while the rich walk away with the profits

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May was the lone opposition MP who voted to support Mark Carney’s government in a recent budget vote.

Now, she says that was a 'mistake.'

That's why I've been dying to talk to her. Tomorrow, she's obliging me.

We all know that ICE is violating human rights in the U.S.

But did you know a Canadian company is profiting off ICE? And that this same company has been ramping up its lobbying efforts?

Now, in my latest for @thetyee.ca, the government won't tell me if this is a red line for procurement:

Spotify profits rose 28% in Q3. Its CEO is worth $9.8 billion. It's making money off ICE recruitment ads.

Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?

Well, the opening scenes of UP are essentially silent and people are still talking about how touching they are. That’s the power of visual storytelling
