Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength.

Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans.

The American people need more from their leaders.

Mamdani is winning bc he’s the closest thing to a tiktok candidate I’ve ever seen. He has the best short videos ever. He gives you that sense of intimacy & fun that comes from a viral influencer post. He’s like a funny dog video in politician form.
It's scary how cute Park Slope was tonight.

Happy Halloween, NYC.

So many people gripe about the media. The media is not WaPo and the NY Times. Smaller regional outlets are still out there doing great journalism and they get NO attention and support.
A big shakeup at ICE isn't reshuffling the deck chairs on the U-Boat. More "Kavanaugh Stops," more violent arrests, and more tear gas chaos is coming very soon to Philly and a slew of other big cities

The terror we see in Chicago is going national. My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/ice-...

I think a lot about how most big-city newspapers used to have a a couple of movie critics, a theater critic, a few book critics, an architecture critic, a music critic or two, an in-house cartoonist, at least two or three foreign correspondents, a fashion writer, and a whole staff of photographers

Federal agents hurled tear gas at people on a busy Logan Square street, outside a grocery store and near an elementary school.

Reckless, undertrained ICE hires are a danger to everyone. This is terrorism against US citizens.

When did professional sports go into overdrive with loud music? Pumping music after every pitch in baseball. Pumping music after every possession in basketball. Pumping music after every down in football. We can’t just enjoy the din of the game? We have to be told, they loud music, to cheer?

- Shitting on Dem leadership

We just have different priorities. I'm focused on winning elections in 37 days. You're focused on shit that is unhelpful and/or doesn't matter.

What I've seen is that the changes and undercurrents of media viewership are very silent- who really knows what people think as they consume media? Until suddenly it becomes apparent. I think this week, much of the media has lost the trust of people of color so deeply it's irreparable.
