Witnessing the downfall of America in real time. #MiamiHeat #NBA #basketball #sports #F1
#politics
I cook a lot and I watch a lot of sports.
Praying for the day I'll won't have to watch either #14 or #22 on the Heat.

Few drivers are easier to root for than Lando Norris. Happy he's now a World Champion.

My niece called Taylor Swift a "bot" like two years ago and I didn't register it then but actually, the kids know clankers aren't the future and they're actively denying it.
I was worried my kids would rely on AI as a shortcut but they hate it. They use "AI" to mean stupid or cheap ("aimbot" means good). I tried to say AI is helpful for some things and my daughter said "yeah, for making you stupid." This is how they talked about Drake after "Not Like Us" came out

Ron Perlman.

Go look.
This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

Dolphins getting to 5-7 after that disaster start to the season is how they keep people on the hook with hopes and dreams every year.

Don't fall for it! They should still fire everybody.

Ohio St. and Michigan doing back to back punts just yards from the 50 yard line has me cackling.

Lil 16 pounder Butterball for the day. Not the best bird I've ever cooked, skin's delicious but even and exposed the breast meat a bit, but decent for the minimal effort and prep I put into it

Bought a 16 pound bird Sunday night, threw it in the back fridge, pulled it out this morning and it was still frozen. Thawing guidelines are bullshit. Happy Thanksgiving lol.

Makes me wonder just what, exactly, Bari Weiss has done to be rewarded with the position of EiC of CBS News. Because if Nuzzi is this filthy and she's about to take over Vanity Fair...
The reason that we reporters are focused so intensely on the L'affair Nuzzi is that, as Olivia notes, it is a basically apocalyptic scandal in the most literal sense of that term: a dropping of masks. It's acting as confirmation of every hideous story anybody's ever told about political journalists
this was bad before, but these are the most troubling and serious allegations you can make about a journalist. if they’re true, i genuinely can’t think of a worse scandal in the history of political journalism. devastating to our industry, to public trust as a whole, and to everyone in its orbit

Metallica back in 2017. It was General Admission so I got there early and near the stage. Smoked a blunt with a couple old-timers between the openers, rocked the fuck out once the show started, spent some time in the mosh pit, left before the encores half-drunk with a pounding headache. 10/10.
Have yall ever gone to a concert by yourself? How was it?

The next President needs to run on and bring to justice anyone and everyone that brought all this horror to bear. Anyone less will only let them continue their work.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

Twitter implemented a new feature last night that displayed the country an account is in. So many of the ‘America First’ accounts were from foreign countries that they had to disable the feature within hours. 🙄

X rage posting itself to death in a cataclysmic realization that all of it is either grifters, journalists, or bots is kind of a wet dream at this point.
I see a lot of Paidchecks on X didn’t realize that a whole lot of people on social media lie about their location to grift off the naïveté of the rage-addled American right.

Turns out this problem is real and it’s a thing those of us who worked on “disinformation” pointed out.

No, man. I don't want to help rehabilitate an antisemite. I don't want to enable a transphobe. I'm not forgiving MJG for her unforgivable sins.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

No. I will not vote for a transphobe. Fuck you.
COLUMN: “The way back for the Democratic Party is about how we work around what appears for some to be this immovable object, Trump and Trumpism,” @gavinnewsom.bsky.social tells our Jonathan Martin.

Every day someone new learns that Oscar Isaac was in a late 90s Christian ska band. Who will today’s person be.

The paper that couldn't print stories about HER E-MAILS fast enough sitting on several cases of HIS E-MAILS thinks we're gullible idiots who wouldn't notice the hypocrisy.

There's a whole thread of millionaire Senators but I want you to know, personally

I'm cancelling my insurance before Jan 1st because it'll jump up to $550 a month. 10,000 deductible. $50 doctor visits, medication co-pay.

It used to be 200 when I signed up in 2021, in Florida, no less.
Healthcare costs for millions of Americans are doubling. Angus King has a net worth of $22 million.

Democrats. Democrats held everything up to get ACA subsidies guaranteed. Until they caved, and got a "promised vote". Which made the last month plus of suffering utterly pointless.

Great job, you fucking losers.
Hassan: With the government reopening shortly, Republicans now finally have to come to the table. Or make no mistake, Americans will remember who stood in the way.

A slew of pardons right after Democrats gave up all of their leverage?

I wish I was shocked.
BREAKING

President Trump has granted a pardon to a slew of Trump world figures, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and Sidney Powell, for their efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

I'm so fucking sick of Chuck Schumer enabling them. Just a useful idiot, a compliant rube, an amenable fool every step of the way as Republicans enact their fascist, dictatorial agenda.
