Reminds me of the ass end of the Conte era when everyone was begging for Stellini to abandon the accursed 3atb. He switched to a 4atb and promptly lost to Newcastle 6-1. Side didn't know how to play the system.

A know a lot of people smirked and mocked the previous manager's oratorical skills, but I think being able to motivate a side before a match is a hugely underrated quality and, seemingly, missing now.

This is a great little analysis with JJ. OhSoSpurs are not gratuitously negative and always reasonable, trying to find the positives. Not many to find after that NLD, unfortunately.

The folks at 5 Live breakfast had me on this morning to talk about the NLD a bit. Along with an Arsenal fan. I spoke mostly about patience and the need for stability and investment at Spurs. Many might not agree with me but it was quite cathartic!

Don't think yesterday could realistically have gone any worse for Frank (other than things really unravelling at 3-0). To go in with that approach in that fixture and for it fail so badly is an instant deal-breaker for a lot of fans. Esp as the players looked so uncommitted.

Good DoFs get things done. Bad ones repeatedly don't.

Before this season started, what were Tottenham fans' expectations for what would constitute a good campaign, given the changes?
I think while expecting a transitional, difficult season was hopeful of a top-7 finish and a serious cup run, with a strong Jan-May showing. Still could have that. #COYS
