England have found solutions to their problems in the attack (Harry Kane), press resistance in midfield (also Harry Kane), and distribution from center back (yep still Harry Kane)

England's midfield tonight (and probably into the World Cup) is such a good passer-carrier combination

Focused a lot on the negatives but i am very excited by Odobert and we can really now see how big a talent he is and that is a big positive

Isn’t the club meant to be hiring a manager around an identity instead of creating an identity around the manager.

How has James Tarkowski got more through balls than us.
November 13, 2025 at 9:56 AM
Spurs have 4 through balls in 11 games, there are 15 players with more than us and 15 players with as many as us
November 12, 2025 at 8:09 PM
I don't have a prediction for the NLD beyond it will a truly despicable game of football, a pure distillation of the set piece ball we are seeing now.

I know there has been a lot of frustration with Porro and he was really bad last week but considering our progression issues dropping him would be a huge problem.
November 12, 2025 at 1:44 PM
Something annoying is i feel need to clarify every criticism i have with us with this is not a defence of Ange, we should be able to seperate this is good or bad from the manager. Things i am worried about are not about not having Ange as manager. Multiple things can be true at once

The funniest part of discourse of defensive improvement so much is just having more minutes out of our elite CBs plus tightening up defending set pieces. 0.33 xG against this season from set pieces, 0.37 last year and 0.4 23/24. The more defensive approach gives the impression of defensive solidity

The Ivan Toney links are so underwhelming stop focusing on PL experience Spurs.

Question marks over Marco Silva's future at Fulham who was second choice this summer and made the shortlist the time before. I am underwhelmed by Frank but he is a much better hire than Silva would have been.

Outperforming our xG difference by 13.2 in 11 games is really something. Woo for current us, yikes for future us.

Disengenous and meaningless but did make me laugh that if we had this degree of over performance on our xPoints per 90 last season we would have had 67 points.
Fbref have us 17th for xG difference

Opta analyst has 16th for xG difference and 17th for xPoints.

It is quite funny we are 5th while having numbers in keeping with our league finish last year.

They are still up on the collapse last season but massively down on the overall season
November 10, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Prediction he starts and we are playing 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 and Frank gets every tall player on the pitch

Vic

Danso Romero VDV

Porro Bentancur Pahlinha Sarr Udogie

Kudus Richarlison

We might go Spence over Porro defensively but reckon we may want Porros right footed set piece delivery
I’d start Richy in the NLD regardless of RKM’s fitness because of his ability to help defensively during set pieces.

Big fan of Opta Analysts xG table it has us 16th for xG difference over 17th in fbref. Think it’s safe to say we are so back.

Have the club specified if it’s the home or away game we expect him back for?
November 10, 2025 at 11:47 AM
The we are building from defence first reasoning does get hit by the fact we are 18th for open play xG Against . Our set piece this improvement at both ends really carrying our numbers to a rather absurd degree.
November 10, 2025 at 11:25 AM
14th for xPoints behind a club who have sacked two former spurs managers this season 😭
November 9, 2025 at 7:21 PM
Wow what a goal the build up through the press was absurd.
November 9, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Wharton that is obscene.
November 9, 2025 at 2:11 PM
Missed this further confirmation of the fact Odobert didn't start for tactical reasons. The fact Frank points to one attacking moment in an entire half is again worrying to me.
