I'm never convinced by the idea of signings a manager who has success a certain way and then expecting them to change. I think that the better approach is to work out how you want to play and then sign managers and players who fit that.

And on the players available, he prioritised signing them.

That Van de Ven burst yesterday, what an absurd player.

I see Sarr went off injured ffs.

Having an international break before a NLD should be illegal. sitting with no Spurs for 2 weeks before that game is torture.

Last season at 1 xG from open player per 90 Fulham had the 12th best attack. This season at 1 xG per 90 from open play United have the 6th best attack.

That's very encouraging

This is a great example of everyone going with their pre established beliefs. Seen lots of players named as the primary causes and it's really not in line with the actual breakdown.

Something quite frustrating is we have a transfer strategy that is predicated on the idea key players from mid table teams can step up and we managed to not spot Anderson. The player who actually took the leap.

England have found solutions to their problems in the attack (Harry Kane), press resistance in midfield (also Harry Kane), and distribution from center back (yep still Harry Kane)

England's midfield tonight (and probably into the World Cup) is such a good passer-carrier combination

Focused a lot on the negatives but i am very excited by Odobert and we can really now see how big a talent he is and that is a big positive

Isn’t the club meant to be hiring a manager around an identity instead of creating an identity around the manager.

How has James Tarkowski got more through balls than us.
November 13, 2025 at 9:56 AM
Spurs have 4 through balls in 11 games, there are 15 players with more than us and 15 players with as many as us
November 12, 2025 at 8:09 PM
I don't have a prediction for the NLD beyond it will a truly despicable game of football, a pure distillation of the set piece ball we are seeing now.

I know there has been a lot of frustration with Porro and he was really bad last week but considering our progression issues dropping him would be a huge problem.

Something annoying is i feel need to clarify every criticism i have with us with this is not a defence of Ange, we should be able to seperate this is good or bad from the manager. Things i am worried about are not about not having Ange as manager. Multiple things can be true at once
November 12, 2025 at 1:24 PM
The funniest part of discourse of defensive improvement so much is just having more minutes out of our elite CBs plus tightening up defending set pieces. 0.33 xG against this season from set pieces, 0.37 last year and 0.4 23/24. The more defensive approach gives the impression of defensive solidity

The Ivan Toney links are so underwhelming stop focusing on PL experience Spurs.

Question marks over Marco Silva's future at Fulham who was second choice this summer and made the shortlist the time before. I am underwhelmed by Frank but he is a much better hire than Silva would have been.

Outperforming our xG difference by 13.2 in 11 games is really something. Woo for current us, yikes for future us.
