I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

Sade releases her “Promise” LP 40 years ago today.

Of “Sweetest Taboo,” she said:

“.. It’s about a love that feels almost TOO good, the sort of feeling you don’t talk about because it makes you vulnerable. I like writing about that kind of emotion — the danger .. of loving someone that deeply.”

Some news: tomorrow at 9am, Ted Koppel + CBS Sunday Morning will air a two-part story on the devastating surge of full-time workers being pushed into homelessness.

I'll be interviewed along with two families from There Is No Place for Us. It would mean a lot if you'd watch and help spread the word.

I guess they didn’t do science fair at his school. The “Scientific Method” isn’t about argument cuz you don’t like it. It’s about data. What’s your hypothesis, JD? Where’s your data?
JD Vance: "Science as practiced in its best form is that if you disagree with it, then you ought to criticize it and you ought to argue against it."

“folks who created Santacon disowned it as it transformed into something they no longer recognized. Eventually, that happens to all of us: We find ourselves living in a world we no longer understand/feel at home in. But what do we do-demand things return to imaginary good old days? Or find a way?”

WATCH — @repstevenhorsford.bsky.social : “My amendment would redirect that $40 BILLION from Argentina to fund the ACA subsidies for two years… a far better use of taxpayer dollars.”

Why do we have money for Argentina while our own people lose their health care? How does this make us great?

As a couple in our 50s, the premium for both of us to stay on our current plan next year would be more than all of our other expenses combined - including a mortgage in SF. Meeting with a health broker today to see what cheaper plans might be compatible with my healthcare needs.

Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

Senate Democrats walked away empty-handed, and don’t let anyone tell you different.

Tim Kaine and the others bought the lie that Republicans would negotiate on extending the ACA subsidies. They won’t.

Dems got played, Schumer failed to keep his caucus together, and the American people got nothing.

Sixty-five percent (65%) of Dems from across the spectrum, left to center-right want to hold the line and not give in to bullying.

But somehow the Senate thinks differently? It hurts my brain. And my heart.

Also many of the so called NO votes were not no votes. They supported the move to reopen and are glad to have those who supported cloture do so. Now they can make their little posts on social media and credulous voters will postback: 'thanks to my Senator for standing up.' Pure WWF.
It's just that they already voted to move this forward in the only vote that mattered. Today's vote only needs 50 so the Dems can now vote no and pretend that they didn't advance it when they already did.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Especially the twelfth or twentieth time.
Whoa -- Sen. Durbin went to up Leader Thune during the vote last night to tell him that on the shutdown vote and ACA promise that "8 of us are sticking our neck out that you're going to keep your word. I hope you will. He said 'I assure you I will,'" Durbin says just now
