I think it's underappreciated that most policy support for clean energy under Obama came in exchange for lifting longstanding bipartisan limits on oil and gas exports. This enabled surging oil and gas production, methane emissions from which outweighed CO2 emission reductions from clean energy.

Worth noting that this passed by one vote and two Democratic congresspeople have died in office in the last six weeks.
All but three House Republicans just voted for Trump's tariffs. The procedural measure, which preemptively surrenders congressional power to stop Trump's tariffs, passed with all Democrats voting no. This was the vote count:

It's important for everyone to realize that for multiple reasons, this is all Obama's fault. Didn't punish Bush admin, didn't do enough when he had a mandate, forced Biden on everyone, actively fights left of center causes and momentum, etc.
