When people criticise you for being short, they're really just saying that the worst thing about you is that there isn't more of you.

It has been 60 years since Minnesota experienced as little crime as it did in 2024. For the vast majority of people alive in Minnesota last year was the safest of their lives.

Keep this in mind when politicians in upcoming elections attempt to use fear to get you to vote for them!

A great way to improve MN for kids, families & everyone would be to hold MnDOT accountable for addressing the air pollution from our toxic urban highways that contribute to higher rates of asthma, heart disease & lower life spans for nearby residents.

Let’s start w/ converting I-94 to a boulevard.

Trump’s plans are going to be disastrous for many fields, including architecture. His tariffs will absolutely destroy the construction industry and render it incredibly expensive to build anything.
Trump Will Not Make Architecture Great Again
Last term, his ill-informed embrace of “traditional” aesthetics fanned the flames of the culture wars. This time, he’s poised to do even more damage.

Fuck common ground.

Way too many people out there use the term "cement" when they mean "concrete."

Get with the program, people! It's like saying "flour" when you mean "bread."

Many of us remember when school shootings were not a “fact of life”… Those of us who grew up in the 80s-90s for example.

Recall the assault weapons ban was passed in 1994. When it expired in 2000, sales of the AR15 skyrocketed - as did mass shootings.

You see this in conservative talking points -- climate action is framed in terms of having to give up your pleasures, your oven, your favorite food.

Actual effective climate action overwhelming looks like regulation, taxes, and subsidies--to consumers, this might mean "pay a little more in taxes".

I've told this story before, but when my paternal grandmother passed, her daughters fought for DAYS over who would get her precious ever-guarded recipe book, finally agreed they would share it, opened it to copy down the recipes and found it had only 1 entry which said "Book I pretend has recipes"
Tell me something funny about someone important to you who’s passed on. Anecdote, factoid, excellent one-liner—dealer’s choice.

Do not forget this. The Trump team's plan is to ban abortion using a law that people in the 1920s scoffed at as delusional and old-fashioned. Playwright George Bernard Shaw coined a term, "Comstockery," to describe foolish Puritanism. It was a popular insult. Let's bring it back. FUCK COMSTOCKERY
One of Trump's top lawyers has already said the plan is to stay quiet on abortion through the campaign—then use the Comstock Act to impose a nationwide abortion ban in 2025. Not only a ban on medication abortion, but ALL abortions, in all 50 states. www.nytimes.com/2024/02/17/u...
