All citizens shall, as human persons, be held equal before the law.
So a forma Taoiseach is revealing he didn't understand the Constitution or understood it but deliberately ignored it. Or both.

I don't understand conservative climate change deniers.
If I'm wrong about climate change & measures taken to reduce warming, no harm done.
But if we don't address global warming & they're wrong about no climate change, that's the end of the world they're so keen to conserve.

It shouldn't need to be explained to anyone, so soon after the Soldier F verdict, why Irish people might not want to be socially obliged to donate to a charity committed to uncritically commemorating all British wars, including Iraq and Northern Ireland, and financially supporting their veterans.

For what it's worth, I don't think the message of Mamdani's win is 'run socialists everywhere'. It's 'run people everywhere who fit their specific place and have the knowledge and instincts to make persuasive progressive arguments relevant to that place'.

You know what the King has done squirrelling Mr Windsor away is not acceptable. The King is just protecting the royal name and lineage. Mr Windsor needs to go and face Congress and to face a trial in the UK. Any other commoner in the UK would have to face justice for these alleged crimes.

Am fed up with the FF FG politics of MEANNESS. They could spread Ireland's wealth around a BIT more evenly but they willfully choose not to.
If it were just a BIT fairer the wealthy would STILL be wealthy but millions struggling would at least be warm, fed & able to pay bills without daily anxiety.
