Most infamous of the many wolves in Norse mythology. You may recognize me from such titles as Super Smash Brothers Ultimate or Super Smash Brothers: Project M.
It’s a niche gimmick but I’m a huge fan of vizier-posting
ME: yeah could i get the impossible burger with cheese.
THE VIZIER WHO'S BEEN ADVISING ME: ahh, an excellent choice sire. an imitation of the genuine article. there are some "friends" of yours to whom it bears a passing similarity
ME: you want anything
VIZIER: [chuckles] what i want is of no import

I understand the concept here but imo “do better” is a really funny thing to say to a stranger on the internet. Wildly patronizing along the same lines as “try to keep up,” if you’re not joking you must take yourself so unbelievably seriously
Just as a reminder, there's no quicker way to a block than telling me to "do better"

If you're not happy with the output of this personal social media account, you should do what we all do and just block it and move on.

I actually don't owe you a damn thing, angry stranger. Have a nice life.

I’ve heard the argument that in the same way the printing press destabilized feudalism and inevitably drove toward a nation-state-based world order, the Internet destabilizes nation-states and drives inevitably toward ______ (we don’t know yet)
The new system is defined by information abundance and attention scarcity. It is fast, peer-to-peer, and real time. This shift is structural, not political. The public are not just recipients of information, but creators and distributors, competing for attention in the same spaces as institutions.

Several days later it’s unclear to me: do we consider ourselves “at war”? Are the doors to the temple of Janus open or closed?

Narrowly, I can see an argument for the “savvy” position that, from a PR perspective, impeachment is something you need to say and then immediately do. If you say “a year from now, pending favorable election results” the story has a lot of time to sour for you.

Interesting thoughts though. It does tease out some possible reasons today’s fascists are so doughy and impotent

This is interesting because morally it’s completely true. But in that case there was an (evil, hopelessly overbroad) AUMF legalizing it. In this case the government is just killing people it wants to kill, law be damned.
Americans need to reconcile that this is pretty much what the Obama-era drone strikes were. Any time a prior administration abused its power and it was greeted by a shrug because “we’re the good guys” - this is why you shouldn’t do that.
