I know there was a problem in the old format with dead rubbers, but that was fine! I'd just watch another game! There was almost always something that felt really big. Now there's loads of games and I just don't really know - literally, I don't really know - how meaningful they are.

This is what I’d like, but for podcasts!

I’d use it for shows I don’t need to hear every episode of but for times where I just want some background content on when doing dishes etc.
@davidpierce.xyz re: installer, Channels, and re-watching comfort shows, I have a Virtual Channel that plays random three-episode runs of some of my favorites.

So I can just tune to that “channel”, and I’m dropped into a mini-marathon of my favorites.

Pregnant women spend the entire time being told to feel scared or guilty about everything they’re doing, on top of the physical discomfort. So now the White House freaks want to frighten people off a mild, safe, affordable medicine that can make the difference on a hard day. Utter ghouls.

Proper "I'm on live TV" moment this morning when I was talking about how well the pope looked and sounded yesterday only for the presenter to interrupt us to announce that the pope, had in fact, just died

I could not believe this was real, so I went to check for myself and sure enough, it's right there. In retrospect, why was I even surprised that thoughtcrimes are a thing now?

Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

Are there any Bluesky client apps that preserve my reading position in the timeline? I’ve tried the official app, Skeets, and Openvibe, none of which seem to know that reading position is even a thing. A fresh launch of the app puts me at the very top of the timeline every time.

Spot on mate, said this on X:

Whether your positive or negative really has 0 impact on the results. It only impacts on how you choose to deal with the outcomes.

I’d much rather be looking for the positives in every situation in life “toxic positivity” doesn’t exist, it’s a contradiction in terms.
"Unwavering positivity is just as toxic as unwavering negativity by the way" - this tweet got shared in a chat group. What a load of bollocks.

Positivity will always be infinitely better than persistent negativity. What is wrong with people to think believing, having faith is a bad thing?

I am militant about deflections - you simply cannot consider a deflected strike a 'great goal'. And therefore I am amazed how much praise Hutchinson is getting for that goal yesterday. I think there's almost no chance - OK let's say 10% - that's going in until the defender nods it in.
