Having been goaded into it by @maxrushden.bsky.social, I am doing the London Landmarks half-marathon in April for Great Ormond Street Children's Charity. I am 52, overweight, hideously unfit and I hate running. Please donate, if you can spare a few quid ...

In today's post, Matt Lowrie gets real on the costs of Roads of National Significance.

I am deeply saddened that Benjamin Doyle made the decision to step down from being an MP.

Parliament is the "House of Commons"; it is for all us!

When we allow kafka-esque inquisitions to occur we cease to become a real democracy.

Go well Benjamin and your family. Do not disappear—we need you.
Opinion: Standing up against the moral panic about Benjamin Doyle
The attack has all the hallmarks of a smear campaign, says Paul Thistoll.

Hey @thomasnash.bsky.social this is worth looking into
Lately I haven't been well on the Wellington buses. Stale air and HVAC not working properly. So last night I took an Aranet CO2 air quality sensor from work and tried it on the No.1 bus from Newtown to Johnsonville.
Here are the levels at some time points while travelling home.😳

I’ve been mulling over how to express my disappointment in this outcome and Tori’s decision. Yadana captures it perfectly. Thankyou.
With @misswhanau.bsky.social stepping back from the mayoral contest. Can we just reflect on the reality that she worked in and what she managed to achieve

John Campbell shows empathy for rangatahi in prison, says facts & gets accolades; a young brown woman MP does the same & is subjected to a deranged media circus. Todd Muller's breakdown gets the kid-glove treatment; Golriz is still being hunted like prey. If only this phenomenon... had a NAME??

No doubt some will call me callous but this demand to fence off the entire waterfront just seems ludicrous to me. 7 deaths in last 20 years, all of whom had been drinking (source Post article today). According to same article 30,000 people per day pass along the waterfront. 1/2
