An over 40 year old woman navigating rage.

Mum, hospo proud, former journo, Ōtautahi, she/her, lots to say.
Imagine sitting in Gaza watching this NZ parliamentary debate. How fucking devastatingly depressing. TALK ABOUT WHAT'S IMPORTANT.

Yesterday someone asked how to spell my name, and a colleague replied, 'in capital letters'. And honestly I think it's one of the best compliments ever.

Special memory as a gallery journo, was Dame Turia taking me to the Māori Party rooms to show me a newsprint book called 'The House that Jack Built', made and gifted by Robyn Kahukiwa, my most favourite NZ artist. We'd talked before about Kahukiwa and she just thought I'd love to see it. #nzpol

I'm chilling outside barefoot on this glorious Ōtautahi day and my husband just brought me nail clippers and said, 'are these okay or do I need to get my grinder?' Maybe time to shake off Winter

I had a catering contract once too, before Luxon and Compass came along. I don't understand why we keep awarding contracts to a London-based multi-billion dollar company with offshore stakeholders to feed our most vulnerable - hospitals, aged care and children.

No one deserves to be front and centre on Stuff.co.nz homepage over 19k of debt. This is cruel, the kind of stuff that destroys people. I'm raging about this, these poor fuckers. #kiw

It seems my 9 yo daughter can't say 'men' without adding a z at the end. I'm not mad about it. It may be my fault.

'Defiant' is absolutely the wrong word here. They are not disobeying or defying anyone. Their's is a right. They are undeterred, they are committed, they are staunch.

This all reminds me of the time as a poli journo when a bit (a lot) slizzy, I told Winston my FIL had a kunekune pig named after him cos he was such a boar.

Good times.
