It's the 3rd of January 1939, your name is professor James Smith and you are staring at a drawing of a fish. It's not a regular fish. It is a completely impossible fish.

So here's my unsolicited, probably ill thought-out AI musing:

Generative AI was a tool invented out of unnecessity, a classic could/should Goldblum scenario. It's the Jurassic Park of computing. A solution in need of a problem.

Keir Starmer should condemn Trump’s illegal action in Venezuela.

Maduro is a brutal and illegitimate dictator, but unlawful attacks like this make us all less safe.

Trump is giving a green light to the likes of Putin and Xi to attack other countries with impunity.

Jane Austen as a writer about law

Some notes on Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice, by me

It reminds us that if we stand together in tough times, we can overcome anything.

I think the UK needs people coming to the country and I certainly think we need to help refugees, not turn them away. But I want this done properly and not by people risking lives in small boats. So this is good news. News that the news media isn’t reporting - why?
Our Labour government is successfully tackling the dangerous small boats crisis.

Yesterday was the 28th day without ANY crossing.

It is the longest period without any for over 7yrs, since 30/09/2018.

The 28 day average I track is now showing 0 for the first time since 19/10/2018.

⏰ It's time for change on immigration policy - We all agree on that much!

Labour so far have got it all wrong, chasing hostile headlines that will only make our system crueller, society more divided & immigrants easier to exploit.

BUT THERE IS ANOTHER WAY!!

No. not "trans people". ANYONE. This moral panic leads inexorably to the policing of women based on their appearance deemed to be "unfeminine".
