Labour have bottled it, they’ve cancelled the elections. Undemocratic and incompetent - aka Labour’s new normal.

Greens are on the rise. Join us, help us take the first Mayor of Sussex and Brighton! Let’s build our future of hope together.

In the Coat of Hopes outside Parliament, after a depressing outcome to the CAN bill. Thank you to Tanya & Friend for letting me wear it briefly. As the CAN bill sank without trace and the world has missed the 1.5 degrees target, Hope is all we've got left...

Every time I see a BBC article about 'e-bikes' that is really about electric motorbikes, I write and complain, and every time they have corrected the headline. Yet here they are again, conflating legal e-bikes with illegal e-motorbikes, only this time in the title of a Panorama episode. FFS!

Gig economy workers need protecting from exploitation as they deliver items not demonisation by public discourse.

I hope Panorama unpicks the detail looking for practical solutions to the real issues rather than simply falling into divisive tropes about people behaving badly on bikes.

Legal e-bikes help everyone, including older and disabled people, use bikes more and use cars less cutting congestion, pollution and road danger.

Dockless hire bikes help people make door to door trips not served on public transport often favoured by women getting home (safely) at night.

Ahead of “e-bike” Panorama tonight can we clearly distinguish between:

🚲 legal e-assist bikes limited to 15.5 mph

🚲 dockless hire e-bikes like Lime paid by the minute so incentivising poor riding and

🚲 illegal kit conversion e-bikes with a throttle sometimes used by (exploited) delivery riders
