Some Guy. Some kind of neurodivergent. Somewhat qualified to philosophise. Named after a gangster accountant for reasons thast don't matter. Pronouns he/him. Nouns genius/fool. Adjectives harmless/frustrating.
There's a weird thing where:

1/ Defending trans people seems to be a fad in a very small echo-chamber

and

2/ Trans people are under attack in terms of large scale discourse that most people see

So like, even if it seems bandwagoning and shallow, trans rights are human rights. They just are.

Some posts are like: "let me explain what complex and contested terms mean", and then they just pull definitions completely out of their ass. Lots of very confident word-understanders in the world.

I really enjoyed Fables right up until the point where, seemingly out of the blue, it was like: btw, Israel is great, especially when it's militarily beligerent.

Also, in happier news, G Willow Wilson's work on Poison Ivy is seminally great.
This issue was the best parts of Fables mixed with not having to think about the politics of the author of Fables
This beauty is out today! Poison Ivy eats from the Tree of Knowledge and discovers her story doesn't begin where she thinks it begins. An Arthurian romp with a twist. Art by THE Mark Buckingham. Stunning cover by @anireal.bsky.social. Pick yours up at your local comics shop.

Experimenting with returning to Bluesky. Apparently I have some followers. I should have an opinion, for science.

Erm...

If falafels are going to be the standard vegan option on every menu then restaraunts should learn how to make decent falafels.

Also I bet Keir Starmer smells of damp sawdust.

"mad" is a neuronormative slur used to deligitimise the anger of people expressing their authentic truth
Please quote tweet this like you’re super mad about it

I feel like, once upon a time, I could have failed on my merits. I just wouldn't have been good enough. It's galling to live in a time when I'm being out-competed by people whose only talent is behaving like an attention-seeking cunt.

Being a good person who cares for the people around you WHILE ALSO taking take of yourself and your family first is actually a really absorbing and challenging life long pursuit! Why are you making life even harder by being a “web based entrepreneur”?

What you can do, when a piece of art is good, is say: "cool, I like that". What you don't have to do is turn it into a terrible movie, or even an alright movie. You can just enjoy it for what it is and not adapt it into any other medium. I can't emphasise this enough: things don't need to be adapted

"Leftists want good things for everyone, but did you know that includes that gross, icky minority," said every right wing stooge ever.

And yes. We want good things for everyone. Everyone. No-one gets thrown under the bus for the sake of political expediency. Everyone deserves good things.

Say what you like about the right to buy, it's been a popular policy. Accordingly, it should be extended to private rented properties.

Recent statistics suggesting that only half of Labour members think the party is doing a bad job are misleading. About two fifths of Labour's members have left since Keir Starmer took charge, so those remaining members who think he's doing a good job have self-selected.
🚨 NEW: Half of Labour members believe the Party is going in the wrong direction.

Starmer is repeating Tory austerity, supporting a genocide and attacking Party democracy.

It's time for MPs to listen to members & supporters who understand the importance of real Labour values. 🌹

Far more than electric cars, we need more electric buses, trams and trains. There's one good argument for electric cars, and it's people with disabilities that prevent them using even the most accessible public transport - the very group who can't access charge points in the UK.

Petition to rename the glans penis the 'dick clit'. Possibly we could contract it to 'dicklet' after a while and give future etymologists something to discover.
