Can I let you in on a little secret?

Billionaire philanthropy isn’t charity.

It’s PR to distract you from low wages, labor exploitation, and a tax system that’s rigged for the rich.

As a millennial who has spent most of her life in red states, Dems in these places are always asked to beg for scraps and be grateful if we get any representation at all. It’s so hopeful that we could have someone like Nate who isn’t afraid to be bold and stand up for the people in Congress.
New ad dropped. Let’s go! I'm running for Congress in Utah's 1st District to take on big corporations & the billionaires. To make housing & energy more affordable, fight for Medicare for All, protect our public lands, & to build a future for all of us.

Roughly two-thirds of grazing on Bureau of Land Management land is controlled by just 10% of permit holders.

I’ve been in Greece (mostly Athens, but also Meteora and the coast for a minute)! Coming home rejuvenated, appreciative, and with a clearer head 🎉 A few of my favorite scenes:

Adding staff ✔️ Union contract ✔️ bringing down paywall in 2026 ✔️ Nonprofit journalism is 🎉
Members of the Salt Lake News Guild — which includes employees of The Tribune, and the Tribune-owned Times-Independent of Moab and the Southern Utah Tribune — ratified the two-year agreement, and The Tribune’s Board of Directors voted to approve the contract. Both votes were unanimous.
The Salt Lake Tribune and its employees’ union sign their first labor contract
The Salt Lake Tribune's management and the union that represents its employees have negotiated a two-year collective bargaining agreement — a first in the newspaper's 155-year history.

The Utah GOP is currently gathering signatures to put a full repeal of Proposition 4 on the ballot next year. They can’t stand the people having a voice, so they are pulling out all the stops in order to give our power back to the legislature. If you see someone gathering signatures, DON’T SIGN!

So excited we’ve got a true progressive Democrat running in Utah’s competitive House District - one who I think meets the moment and the energy of the district right now. Excited to campaign for you @NateForUtah!
We can’t keep doing politics as usual. Utahns struggle to pay for housing while Trump & the GOP Congress play games with our healthcare & victimize our communities. It’s time for Democrats who will stand up & speak truth to power. That’s why I’m running for Congress.

For those in the back: The Abundance agenda's push for "permitting reform" adopts & aligns with the fossil fuel industry's playbook under the false premise that if we let capital build everything anywhere all at once that it'll work out for people & place. It won't.

All the folks who contend we do not need to directly challenge the entrenched power of the fossil fuel industry—and that we can accommodate their policy priorities (e.g., federal “permitting reform”)—are either lying or deluding themselves that this is an effective climate strategy. Root. Them. Out.
The problem with the climate regime in one article: With fewer people attending COP30 "one in every 25 participants at this year’s UN climate summit is a fossil fuel lobbyist." It is "the largest concentration of fossil fuel lobbyists at COP" and up 12% from COP29 www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Very clearly they didn’t count on this happening and just aren’t bothering updating their pre-written texts

1. The Abundance agenda's signature policy priority = "permitting reform."

2. The American Petroleum Institute is running a 7-figure ad buy pushing "permitting reform."

3. "Permitting reform" takes a sledgehammer to bedrock environmental laws essential to fighting fossil fuels.

This is by design.
