In the time you spend watching this video, Jeff Bezos will earn more than what the majority of full-time American workers earn in a year.

It’s quite important the UK get to the bottom of whether Iran WERE close to making a bomb because Tulsi Gabbard (head of US Intelligence) says they weren’t. And Netanyahu (with a long history of making claims Iran was weeks away from a nuclear bomb) says they are. One is lying. Which is it?

Billionaires make bad politicians. Musk and Trump think business smarts translate to government, but politics isn’t about winning at all costs. It’s compromise, not control. And history shows: when entrepreneurs enter politics, chaos usually follows.

The scale of the disaster is hard to grasp, but this photo of the Cambrian Mountains, viewed from Drygarn Fawr (taken by Velella), gives you a sense of it. It's just one of our terrestrial dead zones, but it covers roughly 300km2.

There’s an invader turning huge swathes of Britain into deserts – and these dead zones are spreading | George Monbiot
Vast areas of land are now dominated by one species – purple moor-grass – and good luck with seeing a bird or insect there. How do we revive these habitats, asks Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Honkingly funny, on a morning when cracking my face seemed a bit of a stretch. I think @mrhenrymorris.bsky.social could probably make me laugh on the day my funeral, though 😁
NEW: The PNG Courier reports from Davy Jones's Locker Room on Trump's first 100 days. As Reform continue to goosestep towards Westminster, it's a tantalising glimpse of what we might be lucky enough to see here.

Nothing says legitimate organic Right Wing uprising in the UK like a meaningless petition that gets retweeted by a foreign billionaire with 200 million followers on the platform he controls.

But wait til you hear where the signatures are coming from!

Foreign Billionaire tweets about a pointless UK petition to his 200 million followers, twice in 3 hours and the Right Wing get super excited that the signups are an organic show the “will of the people”🙄

1. I’m thinking aloud here, as I really don’t have the answers. This is a thread about the political challenge of the very large numbers of young men now supporting the far right. I’m writing it without blame or derision. I’m just trying to find a way through. 🧵

8. Or are there counter-examples? Most of the charismatic young voices I can think of are women, and I suspect that this has to be a matter of men talking to men. I might be wrong.
