The saddest part of #TheBrutalist was to see how joyful the characters in the film were when they first saw the Statue of Liberty, and to know that the USA is no longer a safe or welcoming place for immigrants, or even some of its own citizens.

I know it was filmed before President Stupid Face banned Pride flags, but on "Celebrity Jeopardy!" there was a category on Global Pride. For those keeping score, Trump banned flying the Pride flag in 2019, and Biden restored permission in 2021. #TrumpIsABigot
