Nothing to apologise for. I suspect the captions were subject to a weaker editing process than the text.
Looking at the low emission trajectories and at our global progress on emissions, I also suspect that AMOC collapse IS inevitable.
But I really hope I'm wrong.

Thank you. That's interesting. Here's the graph and caption I'm looking at (from p. 21 of the report at iccinet.org/statecryo25/). Am I missing something or has it been changed since publication?

It's a frightening report, but I couldn't find that quote or finding in it. This is the text accompanying the graph above:
"Shutdown occurs by 2300 in about 70% of model runs for high emissions pathways, but for only around 25% of the low emissions model runs."

I dealt with a lot of fossil-fuel propaganda in my book, but the lie that “by doing what we’re already doing we’ve avoided the bad outcomes” has in the past two years turned out to be the most popular and the most pernicious of all the disinformation I discussed.

I think that Tesla has essentially become a meme stock, based on Musk's personality cult. It trades at 310 times earnings compared to, for example, Google at 28, Apple at 36 and Nvidia at 53.
The Trillion $ bit is about maintaining/building the Musk mythos, and thus the ridiculous stock price.

Focusing only on sandwich mass and velocity is over simplifying. What about the viscosity (thus smear factor) of the mayo or other sauce? What about stainability of the filling on a variety of surfaces? What about social and cultural implications?
Justice requires a full academic study and report.

It's amazing how much of our world (and of the most important aspects of our world) that is obviously, clearly, unambiguously and transparently insane.

I'd call it disgusting rather than insane. These people are incontinent.
