Here we have a dude who has never attempted to "negotiate" with an insurance company. Wrangling with an insurance to cover a clearly covered cost is harrowing. They certainly do not negotiate their premiums or the extent of their coverage.
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

When the ACA began, even without subsidies plans were quite reasonably priced compared to a private health plan from an insurer. Not anymore. Pretty sure the GOP wants the whole system to collapse under its own weight so that the peasants won't expect frivolous things like health insurance

We do in fact have a market where individuals can buy health insurance. That existed pre ACA too. People hate it, it doesn't cost less, and no you can't call up Blue Cross and talk them down 50% as if you're buying a used car
