Two cancers. One kidney. No thyroid.

A body I once learned to fear.

Twice the health challenges most people can’t imagine. Still, I trained, I sacrificed, I showed up every day.

Yesterday, I made my comeback to the stage. 1st place in Women’s Physique at NFF Championships.

And I’m not finished.

Texans under 18 faced more barriers to accessing abortion care in clinics than any other age group in the months following the 2021 near-total abortion ban, according to a new study in @amjpublichealth.bsky.social

This is Heinrich Himmler, the head of the SS and architect of the Holocaust. That symbol on his cap is the totenkopf. This isn't just a nazi symbol, it was the symbol of SS guards who mass murdered millions.

Just to be clear, no one who gets this as a tattoo should ever be elected.

For @boltsmag.org, I wrote about one group that, despite being a huge chunk of the adult population in NYC, is uniformly excluded from electoral coverage: noncitizens. A 2021 law promised many could participate in municipal elections for the first time, before it was challenged and struck down
Ahead of Mayor Race, Noncitizen New Yorkers Grapple with a Voting Policy Failure to Launch - Bolts
For a brief moment, it seemed some noncitizen New Yorkers may gain the right to vote locally. But with the law struck down earlier this year, they remain at the margins.

Yesterday, Stephen Miller questioned details re 170+ Americans detained by immigration agents.

“Abject lies,” he wrote.

Here’s the thing: We tracked, catalogued, and compiled every one of those 170+ cases.

Because...we do our homework.

Read the thread. Says everything I’ve been feeling about No Kings but didn’t know how to put into words.
Can I ask, what did the No Kings protest actually accomplish? I mean, in real terms, what have these protests materially changed? I can't help but feel these one off protests are merely a heatsink for energy and anger rather than a path for meaningful change and disruption of the system.

I’m grateful to see people take to the streets and use their voice for dissent, but…

What are you doing with your wallet?

You can’t protest a system you help fund. You can’t protest a system you actively promote.

I did it because the government isn’t.

This is what I found.

Autonomy is doing very important work
This story, published in July, becomes more relevant with every passing day as lawmakers and activists work to shutter clinics and restrict access to abortion pills.

We are careening toward a not-so-distant future where abortion is just a right on paper, even in the states where it's still legal:

Two lessons:

1. Efficiency plays that put AI above people will cost you.

2. You need professional writers and editors on staff. Just because AI can generate content, doesn’t mean that content is good and that you can cut corners on due diligence.
