What an amazing day for Arsenal and for Eberechi Eze. Incredible for him in any context, but with his history, his journey, it's just really, really special.

Also a massive win, and a statement/fuck off win in this title race after the results yesterday

Huge day, lots of fun to be had after this!

I keep thinking about this. Marjorie Taylor Greene started her rebrand like 20 days ago and ranking Dem leaders are already normalizing it. She is still, to this day, actively engaging in antisemitism and talking about how she won't take "shekels" from AIPAC.
Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

There’s a certain amount of WP who are falling for the okie dokie, thinking that Marjorie Taylor Greene has turned over a new leaf. Go back and read some history. Reconciliation with confederates laid the foundation for why we’re here today. Don’t do it!

All I have to say about the Nuzzi profile is that at the end of it she jokes about how she destroyed her life. In fact she did not do that. She has a book, a magazine job, this lovely profile. People’s lives are being destroyed by this administration, however, including by -well, you know.

In light of today's blockbuster news, go back and watch my interview with Cong. Eric Swalwell. While pundits were offering a dozen policy reasons for the government shutdown, Swalwell nailed it. “We have shut down the government to protect Donald Trump and how close he is to the Epstein Files.

Other folks have said it, but let me just note that:

(1) lots of talented, must-read journalists have been let go from their jobs over the last year

(2) millions of Americans are abandoning current media outlets and looking for new alternatives

Seems like a sure-fire business opportunity here?

Is Schumer still the minority leader? Is Durbin still the whip? Is Cortes-Masto still a vice chair? Good Democrats -- rank and file, those committed to restoring party --must tell Act Blue and every candidate with hands out for the coming midterms -- that there's no cash coming without new leaders.

Two-thirds of California's power comes from clean energy.

For 9 in 10 days so far this year, we were 100% powered for some part of the day by clean energy.

The Golden State has become the world's fourth-largest economy because of our climate leadership, not in spite of it.

Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

These are all the non-retiring Dems up in 2026:
Merkley OR
Markey MA
Warner VA
Ossoff GA
Lujan NM
Booker NJ
Reed RI
Hickenlooper CO

None are in serious danger of losing a primary. That could change, but it's unlikely, and none have viable challengers making serious moves (Moulton doesn't count).

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

Voting to fund the government means you voted to fund everything the government is doing. That's the whole point. It's not about some narrow this or that on the margins. You own the whole enchilada, you're saying "yes, this overall package for everything the government's doing is acceptable to me."
