Not the BEST photo but here is Tanuki’s 120x50x50 tank next to Odin’s 100x50x50 tank. This is my first Bucastate cage and I was dubious buying it off of Temu but it was WAAAYY cheaper, easy to build and turned out great!

It's still a terrible false implication, where the US poverty rate is in the sampling noise. (Which is not saying the same as it doesn't exist). 1% is still over 3.5 million people.
ok sure i get the point but what kind of graph is this

Fact check: No, U.S. oil tankers do not pass through the Hecate Strait. Elizabeth May shows exactly why the tanker ban exists, and why protecting it matters.

“Canadians are doing better, because GDP is doing better” feels like a slap in the face to someone who didn’t pay their heat bill this month so that they could buy groceries.

Tell me again how people are doing great because interest rates are low, GDP and the stock market is high. Very few of those benefits reach the common person, yet liberals like Chretien, Trudeau and Biden (its yet to be seen in Carney) declare people are doing great.

GrapheneOS building technology to protect privacy and security is completely legal. Our work is strongly protected by Canadian, European and American laws. A minuscule portion of our userbase are criminals and the claims being made by the French government about that are lies.

“Helsinki hasn’t registered a single traffic-related fatality in the past year…Citing data that shows the risk of pedestrian fatality is cut in half by reducing a car’s speed from 40 to 30km/hr, city officials imposed the lower limit in most of Helsinki’s residential areas & city center in 2021.”
Helsinki just went a full year without a single traffic death
The capital city is Finnish’ed with car-related fatalities.

If you’re making up gift packages for unhoused people this holiday season, include wool socks. Wool dries faster than cotton, and can still provide warmth even when they’re damp.
Need for dry wool socks for people sleeping rough in Halifax is unrelenting: ‘We get to go home. They don’t’
Retired RCMP officer and a friend started a sock fundraiser eight years ago, and the need continues to grow

Most or all of these are run from India based scammers. I'm unsure of the goal of these. Russia style confusion, or 419 style scams.

I want to print out this piece and frame it.

“We need greater structural limits on the extractive power of essential businesses – to allow others to thrive. What is needed can best be termed an architecture of equality.”
“Legislation should prevent discrimination and self-preferencing, and put a price on data extraction-and in some cases cap excessive fees.” The legendary thinker + doer Tim Wu www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/arti...
Opinion: Can we go back to the optimism of the 1990s, before the extraction economy took over?
Our economic system benefits only those at the very top – but it’s not too late for change

Every city should be building some of these to create safe streets where cars are allowed, but are slow speed guests.
NYC knows how to build self-enforcing streets that slow vehicles and micromobility down (to benefit pedestrians.)
