I love cinema, London, history, learning languages, going to museums, knitting, and did I mention London already?

The lighting shop on Kensington Church Street is closing down.

Oddly sad about that, as it seemed to be a centuries-old family business (actually, about 80 years) and would outlast every fad that society could throw at it.

Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

News reports say longer walks are better for your health than short walks.

However, their so-called longer walk is a mere 10-15 minutes.

That's not a longer walk, that's popping out to the shops for a pint of milk.

One long walk beats short strolls for a healthy heart, study says
Walking for at least 15 minutes without stopping is ideal, according to new research.

THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION was released 31 years ago today. One of the most popular films ever made, and among the greatest Stephen King adaptations, the making of story has as many secrets as a Rita Hayworth poster…

What's the betting that this Facebook developer's menu used to say Great Britain until someone pointed out that it excludes Northern Ireland, and they just did a find/replace on their drop-down menus without redoing the alphabetical sort.

I swear I'm going to end my subscription of Apple TV+ soon. Again and again I can't get to the right page where I can continue watching from last time. On Android and on Windows 11. It keeps asking me if I want the trial (no option to say I have a subscription!), then says Transaction error...

A few weeks ago, the Elizabeth line started showing information about how crowded each train is, although at the moment, only at some stations.

One thing I'll say to Democratic Party insiders...

Please stop listening to people who make all of their money selling TV ads. Just...every Monday for the next year, spend time imagining what you'd do if you couldn't spend money on TV and had to do other things with that money.

As of Friday, there have been 46 cases in which federal judges have blocked Trump policies.

The rulings in those cases have come from 39 different judges appointed by 5 different presidents (of both parties) to 11 different district courts across 7 different circuits.

Maybe it's not the judges?
