Delighted, moi?! Our tote bags have arrived and been enthusiastically unboxed. I’m over the moon, as you can tell!

“What she lacked in income she made up for in charm, deadpan humour and outrageous hijinks, all the while meeting a parade of eccentric characters and throwing herself underfoot in show business with unshakeable enthusiasm.”

I run an indie press based in London, and I find forgotten books to bring back to life. This was my absolute favourite read as a child and it’s funny how many readers have been in touch to tell me they felt the same way about this gentle, inspiring and timeless tale set in Tudor London.
