Sorry (not sorry 😁), I'm going to be that person who points out the bedroom thing is a myth. The SWs screwed up by giving BHC a 3rd bedroom during the Rob era, which they've admitted. But otherwise it seems to me they've been consistent for the last 35 years. And I notice these things 😂 #TheArchers
Oh we know. It’s like farmhouse bedrooms vary depending on need! But people on #TheArchers feed have them flying to Inverness instead of driving!!! That castle could be hundreds of miles from Inverness!

As few people have liked this, in the interests of accuracy I should admit I have been labouring under a misapprension & Will probably had a small mortgage.
With a £120k deposit on a 3-bed ex-council house in 2007, I expect he has paid it off by now. #TheArchers

I'd forgotten the Neil being a foundling storyline. I disliked the way that was dropped in much more than the Mulligan storyline. New information about a well-known character is more unsettling than a newly invented character. #TheArchers

It was an observation rather than a pointed comment & I didn't have a particular editor in mind. Thinking about it since, the relevant period would be 1990-2000, for most of which Vanessa Whiburn was in charge.

The Somerset carnivals are the most extraordinary folk art we have in England and no one knows about it. Start at 52 minutes in and come and see the real thing next week.
I assumed initially that Esme would be a short-term character. However, it looks now like she may be destined to be a long-term partner for someone (but who?).
Anyway, I like her & I'm enjoying this plot, despite the gaping hole & and her wandering accent 🙂

I grew up on a dairy farm and I couldn't step into a parlour and know what to do! But my cousins' teenage daughters seem to be all over it and can milk about 300 in their fancy new parlours. #TheArchers

The fact that Esme can't milk cows isn't a big surprise. Dairying is a specialised area and the UK is experiencing a skills shortage, which is why farmers will pay £££ in visa fees to bring dairy workers over from places like Thailand where they're specially trained. #TheArchers

Sid couldn’t hold a licence because of a past conviction. I think that Polly was the licensee and when she died Peggy took it on. Kathy may have subsequently held it.
There’s no need for Kenton to hold a personal licence, and I doubt any of the staff at The Bull do. #TheArchers

Lilian & Justin were having the conversation in The Dower House, which Matt put into a trust in Lilian's favour in order to hide it from Yvette during their divorce. Justin & Lilian both know this. But the irony was lost on them both apparently. #TheArchers
