Question about past events in #TheArchers? Written summaries of almost all episodes from July 1996 to August 2018 can be found at thearchersarchives.org.uk. Unlike the official BBC summaries, they are fully & easily searchable.

I'm beginning to realise that we don't really know Ruairi at all. #TheArchers

I'm not sure what to make of the fact that today we were encouraged to laugh at some lighthearted slapstick involving a character who we discovered on Friday posssibly attempted to commit murder 🤔 #TheArchers

One notable difference between George & Ruairi's parallel stories.
George's family implored him to to the police, but for a long time he refused.
Ruairi wanted to go to the police, bit Brian told him not to. #TheArchers

George and Ruairi, two boys that are allowed to get away with almost murder because their families felt guilty about their conception. #TheArchers

Good to see the 75th anniversary is setting up a new generational animosity between the Aldridges/Archers & the Grundys. #TheArchers

Someone call Neil Kinnock 😆
Glad they didn't drag that out for ages.
So it comes down to two stupid, reckless young men. The future of Ambridge 🙄 #TheArchers

A battle of wits & low cunning between Brian & George. The top & bottom of the Ambridge social hierarchy for the 75th anniversary. #TheArchers
Brian and George pitted against each other! Is this going to be Charles Collingwood’s big exit story? I have a feeling George is not going to take his recording straight to the police. Will Brian find a way to delete/destroy the evidence? Will George extort money successfully?

For those who've read the RT article, presumably everyone spotted the mistake at the end of page 14? #TheArchers
First copy of the Radio Times I've bought for about 15 years. Purchased from village shop (obviously 🙂). #TheArchers

I wondered that. Do we know whether the wine bottle was empty? Another possible inconsistency in Brian's story. #TheArchers
Also would an 'empty wine bottle' fracture a skull? #TheArchers

I'm obviously naive, but in the last couple of weeks I thought George was genuinely making an effort to be a better person. I only realised otherwise when he said he had to check a voicemail. Unlike most people here, it didn't occur to me he was recording the exchange. New start, pah! #TheArchers
I’d begun to think that with the farm job, George might turn things around but this just shows him for the low life he is: untrustworthy, no honour. This will divide Ambridge, for sure #TheArchers

Top marks for prediction 🔮.
Did anyone else say this? #TheArchers
Or Blossom Hill Cottage and she was visiting Brian?

Small point in all the general shenanigans.
Chelsea said Tracy must've been walking back from Susan's. Not Auntie Susan's. Interesting in view of the recent debate here about whether adults do/should call their parents' siblings 'aunt' & 'uncle'. #TheArchers

Nice work for Sunny Ormonde there. Episode fee for one line 😁. #TheArchers

And his Dad Will's; he covered up for Nic.
I'm just a bit worried George will expect something in return, or use it as a long-term hold over the person. It will be interesting to see which way it goes.

Has Radio 4 always trailed #TheArchers big storylines? There was one saying all will be revealed in the #WhoClonkedGeorgeGrundy story on R4 before Woman's Hour.

My prediction: it's someone he loves and he'll cover for them, realising he's walking in his Nanna Susan and mother Emma's footsteps.

Perhaps Lynda's llamas could be drafted in to fight crime in Ambridge 😄 #TheArchers
Keir Starmer's talking about improving policing - these guys have got it down to a tee. They've apprehended the criminal - a calm and quiet approach, fast response, good eye-contact, de-escalation skills, a bit of alerting to the rest of the public.”

Longish thread, but worth a read after the recent discussion about the Daily Fail article. #TheArchers
Did you see all the “Countryside is too white”, “countryside is racist” hoo ha last week?

If you were anywhere near RW media or the hell site, you can’t have missed it!

Want to know where it all came from? Why there were over 30 “news” pieces about it in just 4 days?

Let’s take a look!👀

Phil and Jill bought Glebe Cottage, from Shula, to live in, when they retired. When they moved there, David and Ruth moved to the main farmhouse. Glebe Cottage has never belonged to either Brookfield Farm or to David and Ruth, so I don't know how they think they can leave it to Josh.

Phil & Jill passed Brookfield on when they retired. David & Ruth are talking about hanging on to it until they die. Why not do the same as Phil & Jill? It would probably avoid IHT for a start. #TheArchers
