Brilliant spot! #TheArchers
Of course Phoebe is going to give birth in a stable. #TheArchers #SecondComing

Presumably they have some sort of maximum budget. Ruairi did say they got a big discount on the castle booking though. What happens to that extra dosh?

I don't know why we're trying to rationalise any of this, the plot has more holes than a colander 😄 #TheArchers
But it’s not their money they’d be spending. They could charter a jet 🤣

Though really, they should be going by Omnibus 🤣 #TheArchers
Going by minibus, They will have transport when they get there. #TheArchers

Just caught up with today's #TheArchers. Tom's comeuppance - the SWs are spoiling us 😄.
Especially after the way he tried to get Natasha to stay at home.
Jacob was great as well.
I know it's a silly plot full of holes, but I think I might enjoy this week.

I've just remembered... Keith Horrobin was in the motor trade. I wonder if Bill knows him? 😁
It was because his business was in trouble that he borrowed money from some dodgy bloke, who then extorted him into setting fire to the Brookfield barn. #TheArchers
Amber's dad's a car dealer.!? Tread careful George, when I worked in the motor trade many years ago it wasn't unknown for dealers to be accompanied wherever they went by big blokes wearing specially tailored overcoats even in summer, sawn-offs tucked into their lengthened pockets... #TheArchers

A whirlwind in cheesecloth...line of the week so far for me.!! #TheArchers

The advice against university isn't even the most disturbing part of that quote.
'Let's get you into a flat. And then we can find you a nice boyfriend' 😬
Thank goodness she only has sons.
November 15, 2025 at 2:44 PM
So that's 2 young women currently in #TheArchers who could've gone to university but decided not to 🤔

Oh, and I reckon Brad & Amber is definitely on...

#TheArchers. Dividing opinion since 1951 🤣
November 14, 2025 at 7:22 PM
Just caught up with yesterday's #TheArchers & I haven't read the comments yet. It felt like there was a definite theme to the episode; difficult mother-daughter relationships.

I didn’t know Neil had released his autobiography!
#TheArchers
I try my hardest to stop buying books but sometimes it is just too difficult.

Well, Amber's dad wasn't what I was expecting at all. #TheArchers

George talking about how great things will be when he gets a job & wanting to spoil Amber with big romantic gestures reminds me so much of Eddie (good job, SWs 🙂).
However, while Clarrie is a sucker for big romantic gestures, I don't think Amber feels the same. #TheArchers

Sorry (not sorry 😁), I'm going to be that person who points out the bedroom thing is a myth. The SWs screwed up by giving BHC a 3rd bedroom during the Rob era, which they've admitted. But otherwise it seems to me they've been consistent for the last 35 years. And I notice these things 😂 #TheArchers
Oh we know. It’s like farmhouse bedrooms vary depending on need! But people on #TheArchers feed have them flying to Inverness instead of driving!!! That castle could be hundreds of miles from Inverness!

As few people have liked this, in the interests of accuracy I should admit I have been labouring under a misapprension & Will probably had a small mortgage.

With a £120k deposit on a 3-bed ex-council house in 2007, I expect he has paid it off by now. #TheArchers
He never had a mortgage. He bought the house outright with the money left to him by Great-aunt Hilda (which he refused to share with Ed). #TheArchers

Newer #TheArchers listeners may not be aware that Ben was delivered by David in the living room at Brookfield.
And I bet poor old Jakob will have to deliver it! #TheArchers

I'd forgotten the Neil being a foundling storyline. I disliked the way that was dropped in much more than the Mulligan storyline. New information about a well-known character is more unsettling than a newly invented character. #TheArchers
#theArchers surprise backstories:
Neil is a foundling. Everyone knew. No one mentioned it.

Esme lived next door to Archers. Appears to be ages with Brookfield kids despite 'old' dad. No one knew her.

It was an observation rather than a pointed comment & I didn't have a particular editor in mind. Thinking about it since, the relevant period would be 1990-2000, for most of which Vanessa Whiburn was in charge.
I assume the other poster meant SOC, I haven't looked at births then. #TheArchers
I think I know what you’re talking about here Brenda.
I remember another poster saying a while ago that there was a distinct lack of births while a certain someone was in charge of #TheArchers.
(I think).
November 9, 2025 at 2:30 PM
I haven't seen this (I'll probably wait until it's on the telly tbh), but I thought it might be of interest to #TheArchers listeners because:
a) Taylor Uttley (Brad Horrobin) is in it, and
b) it's about a performance of The Dream of Gerontius

Roughly when in the Omnibus (or which episode) was this? #TheArchers
It sounded like she was post Uni with a job which doesn't make sense.

Don't know if you've noticed, but the week of 23rd - 28th November is up now, *with* spoilers (it was up without spoilers yesterday).
Still no spoilers for the week of 16th - 21st. #TheArchers
Now they’re up!

New SW Jessica Mitic is back.

And so is Phoebe.

Esme is *not* in this week.
