Starmer needs to unequivocally tell the British people that Brexit has made them immeasurably poorer and that Farage has been the chief advocate of their losses .

Unbelievable. Rachel Reeves is thinking about cutting a tax on US tech giants to appease Trump and his band of billionaires. If anything we should be taxing them more - not less! Agree? Sign today: 38d.gs/techgiantsta...

Absolutely damning.

Seems that the British government made not attempt to find out if the Russians had interfered in the EU Brexit referendum.
In case you missed it ...
Here's a damning verdict from the Intelligence & Security Committee regarding Boris Johnson's half-baked report into Russian interference in the Brexit ref. Basically, they didn't even bother looking for any! Surely now it's time for a public enquiry into Putin's Brexit!

I am talking to George about this book next week. It's a fascinating and horrifying read.
Today, The Invisible Doctrine: The Secret History of Neoliberalism, is published in the UK in paperback. The timing, as the government disastrously follows the neoliberal script to the letter, could scarcely be more appropriate. www.penguin.co.uk/books/455534...

Fiddling around to maintain your tentative fiscal position doesn't look strong. It looks like you've made yourself a permanent hostage to fortune. Ruling out tax rises when everyone can see they're necessary doesn't look tough. It looks mad and insincere.

We have seen a real rise in the prevalence of poor health in this country, driven by the pandemic, cost of living crisis, crumbling public services and poor quality jobs. Benefits cut won't fix these problems, they require time and investment above all.

Britain's 177 billionaires sit on £965 bn - more EACH than the average Brit will earn in 1000 lifetimes.

So obviously, Labour decided NOT to have a 2% wealth tax on this obscene, unspendable hoarding. More poverty for 6.9m disabled Britons is their solution.

I think this is the closest many of us have ever got to seeing the real Trump. The only consistent thread in his entire unhinged rant was the love & praise for Vladimir Putin. Zelensky has more courage & dignity in his little finger than every member of Trump's regime & fan club combined.

Someone with some principles. I don’t understand why Labour hampered themselves with the promise not to raise personal taxes because most sensible people knew that taxes would have to rise if we want better services. Instead we have a govt heavily taxing business and now international development
