reckon lawrence freedman could fashion a decent robbie keane joke. problem here would be the lack of opportunities. very dry military, geopolitical subject matter. would have to wait and wait for the right moment, and then nail it. which ironically is what made keane so deadly as a striker

Current view on AI: profoundly interesting. At least a decade of opportunities and implications. AGI seems like bullshit. LLMs may plateau. I’m deeply uneasy about its impact on society and the IP and culture industries. Uncritical boosterism without parallel risk mitigation is a really bad idea.
