The Scottish Parliament has just voted to pass the SNP Government's budget at stage one.

Our budget includes a record £21 billion for the NHS and scraps Labour's two-child cap.

The only parties not to vote for these policies were Labour and the Tories.

The UK is definitely heading for a hard right English nationalist take over of government. The Union as traditionally understood is over. At best, Scotland can act as an airbag in the car crash of English politics, but the problem with that is the car still crashes & the airbag gets burst.

Scotland is on course to have the lowest child poverty rate in the UK within five years - and it’s set to keep falling, according to a report by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

Encouraging news but there’s more to do, which is why we’re building a Scotland where every child can thrive.
Scottish progress on child poverty 'to outstrip rest of UK'

We need an immigration policy that works for Scotland’s interests, made in Scotland.

Today in Glasgow I’ve set out the Scottish Government’s proposals for a Scottish graduate visa so we can grow Scotland’s economy.

Here’s a wee video summary on why it really matters 👇

Less than a year ago, UK Labour promised to slash energy bills by £300 - but instead they have allowed bills to continue rising.

Scotland deserves better than that.
