Poor by Katriona O Sullivan is a must-read for everyone who works in Education. Well, actually, everyone full stop. I cannot recommend it enough. Would like to buy every daily mail reader a copy!
My initial takeaway is a memory of something Les Allamby said in our Communities Committee that we all aren’t just starting the race in different lanes, some people are starting the race with their feet tied together. Poverty is that ankle binding.

I finished audiobook of Poor by Katrina O’Sullivan on my way home. Sobbed through the entire last chapter. I have lots to process and I want to get a physical copy to pick out some of the lines that really hit home. This should be an essential read for every policy maker, teacher, authority figure
