this from my piece on charlie kirk is probably the most important takeaway if you want to know why bad faith, right-wing voices in media are treated as just another set of peers

Last night my D&D party made the decision that everyone on their starting island spoke with a NY accent, and it’s without question the most committed and characterized this party of goobers has ever been. Love DM-ing for you guys.

Fired from the hip. Only tough one was Skinamarink vs The Substance but ultimately went with Skinamarink because it's probably the single most immersive theater experience I've ever had.

Everything that’s happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

I'm Dr. Annie Andrews. I’m a pediatrician, not a politician. But either way I know how to handle people who are full of sh*t.

Today I am announcing my campaign for US Senate to replace Lindsey Graham. Share this if you're with me.

I’d argue Harris ran a fantastic campaign in a shockingly toxic cultural environment in which people are basically encouraged to endlessly indulge in their worst subrational bigotries and prejudices, all in service of the attentional game of meme production and distribution
I mean given that Harris did better than almost every other incumbent party around the world, I wouldn't be too hard on her. for my part I would have gone with a proven formula (youngish charismatic Black dude)

Tariffs were NEVER going to “bring manufacturing back to the US.” There are many reasons, including:

•Even with tariffs, US labor is prohibitively expensive
•America’s supply chain isn’t ready
•Most Americans don’t want to do manufacturing jobs
•Not enough unemployed workers to fill new factories

When you're age 12-25, your main goal is to gain fluency in the pop culture of people 5-10 years older than you. When you turn 35, this turns exactly opposite. If you fail at either end, I can't help you
Our lecturer had a picture of a blonde woman up on a slide and clearly expected us to know who she was, but we're all Gen Z so none of us did. I guessed Princess Diana which was incorrect. It's this photo btw

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?
