Yes, this. If I said this one time on the job I would get written up and then given the resources to educate myself. Second time, I would be placed on probation. Third time, I'd be let go.

Would be nice if #soundtransit would start serving some real working class neighborhoods. In endless fights with nimbys whiners in West Seattle Alaska Junction when 10's of thousands of us, from North Delridge, Westwood, Roxhill & White Center would love a spur to come down here. Ditch the whiners!

I've been clinging to life that is progressively worsening in quality. The medication I take for my genetic condition is slowly killing me. No alternative treatment developed for my condition for over 70 years. Until the one that came to market this year. It is beyond expensive.$200k+ per year.
We are now squandering future progress that could lead to life-saving treatments for countless rare disease patients (as well as individuals with common genetic diseases). The defunding of the NIH will directly inhibit this work.

Literally this. My childhood was idyllic: stable, peaceful, secure. Modest vacations every Summer, safe schools, etc. Go to college and work hard and everything will work out fine, they said.
