If you think Schumer and Jeffries didn't arrange this little political theater of moderates "breaking ranks" while they attempt to still wrap themselves in the semblance of opposition; I have some fresh (totally not expired or ever frozen) Trump Steaks to sell you.

Yes, this. If I said this one time on the job I would get written up and then given the resources to educate myself. Second time, I would be placed on probation. Third time, I'd be let go.
Are he and Tr*mp ignorant of all that’s happening? Or lying about it?

The most common response from both of them seems to be some version of “haven’t heard about it.” Not a single one of us would still have our jobs if we said that every day when asked about our work.
it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

The protester sitting down right in front of the ICE Gestapo who are screaming at her to move and finally resorting to tear gas when their tantrum isn't indulged is a fucking hero.

New York Times "All the news that's fit to whitewash"
Hard to believe they’re talking about the same event.

People will be dying in lines, waiting rooms, and on the street and in their homes waiting for treatment. This is a loaded gun pointed right at the heart of what little is left of our healthcare infrastructure. All this brought to you by the cowards and hypocrites who screamed hysterically at...
People think cuts to Medicaid & Medicare only affect "other people." That’s false.
These programs quietly uphold huge parts of our healthcare system. Slashing their funding sends shockwaves through the entire system including for those with private insurance. 🧵

Would be nice if #soundtransit would start serving some real working class neighborhoods. In endless fights with nimbys whiners in West Seattle Alaska Junction when 10's of thousands of us, from North Delridge, Westwood, Roxhill & White Center would love a spur to come down here. Ditch the whiners!

I've been clinging to life that is progressively worsening in quality. The medication I take for my genetic condition is slowly killing me. No alternative treatment developed for my condition for over 70 years. Until the one that came to market this year. It is beyond expensive.$200k+ per year.
We are now squandering future progress that could lead to life-saving treatments for countless rare disease patients (as well as individuals with common genetic diseases). The defunding of the NIH will directly inhibit this work.

How many will needlessly die?

I know I'm screaming into the void here, but the second I hear an AI voice or see AI actors in your ad, I immediately consider your product or service as suspicious and not worth my time. Extra suspicious if your copy includes intros like "They don't want you to know this..." #aislop #stoptheslop

Literally this. My childhood was idyllic: stable, peaceful, secure. Modest vacations every Summer, safe schools, etc. Go to college and work hard and everything will work out fine, they said.

And now *gestures*
Then, as we came of age, we got hit by the 2008 economic crisis and it's just been a series of things going to hell ever since. We had a childhood and adolescence of hope that collapsed the second we actually stepped out into the world on our own

I know, right? If things weren't so grim I might derive some small satisfaction from screaming "we told you so!" from the rooftops.
i guess at this point i find the people who said none of what's happening would ever happen more cringe than some judge citing Hamilton while making herself a target for asserting the rights of trans people
Groaaaaaan.

The fascist raptors are testing the fences. This is a trial run for going after *all* protesters on a much broader basis. You may revile everything Khalil stands for, or you may agree with him on most points. The regime doesn't care. The ultimate target is public dissent against entrenched power.
One very telling detail from Khalil's arrest: www.courtlistener.com/docket/69719...

Trump claimed the Biden administration spent $8 million "making mice transgender." The White House tried to back up this number with records of funding for research into cancer, asthma, and HIV, some of which used *transgenic* (genetically modified) mice.
Trump Decried Millions Spent 'Making Mice Transgender.' It Was Cancer and Asthma Research
President Trump falsely claimed that Biden spent $8 million on 'making mice transgender,' but the real research was for human health.
