I mean, there was kind of this enjoyment where yes Canada was weaker but they were our absolute closest allies. If anyone dared to fuck with them, we would gather our power and obliterate on behalf. That was the moral framework, alongside other allies. Honor in wielding strength.

At least amongst millennials, I think it was very well understood Canada's contributions to NATO and the soldiers they lost to support us. I knew that back during GWOT it was just a fact? I knew the stories of the people they comforted during 9/11 airspace closure.
