Queer in many directions. Disabled. Reader. Embroidery, costumes, gluten free baking. Food motivated and anxious (both me and my dog).
I was debating cutting my hair short but there's nothing like the self stimulation of tight braids.

2 weeks until my winter break is over and my colleagues have had to listen to how mad I am at various entities we deal with at work. At least tonight I get to go to the clay studio and tomorrow I get to bake.

Latest pottery projects! A slightly different mug shape, but improved finish. A pre-firing glazed skull lantern. A finished skeleton cat vase.

I'm getting more adventurous with glazes and my finish is improving.

In this photo, Haring is seen painting the nude body of Jones. Haring and Tseng both died from AIDS in 1990. At the time of this photo, Jones had a dance company with partner Arnie Zane, who died from AIDS in 1988. Jones is the only one still living. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_T.... #art #LGBTQ #80s

This stunning 1984 poster was created from a 1983 photograph taken by Tseng Kwong Chi of totally nude dancer and choreographer Bill T. Jones painted from head to toe by Keith Haring. Jones’s body became a literal canvas for Haring. emuseum.mfah.org/objects/1595... #art #photography #80s #LGBTQIA

I've gotten so used to Enormous Mugs that when I decided to use my little tea cup today, I was delighted by how easy it was to handle.

Sirens has added many great titles to my TBR.
🎵 It's beginning to look a lot like that time of year when many of us are really into giving everyone we know 📚 and also maybe buying some 📚 for ourselves along the way 🎵 We've got you: a month of #sciencefiction, #fantasy and #horror books by trans, nonbinary, and female authors that we 💗 this year

Something related that I finally put into words last night was: Why should someone need to prove they deserve to exist at all?
Every UBI test has been not only massively successful in improving people's lives, but also outright costs less than the current methods of dealing with the homeless.

Today is a day when sensory stuff is hitting in a really magical way. My nice socks. My second cup of tea. Lorde's David. I love it when my life rewards me for the curation I've done.

Running for a bus? Crash the next day. Unfortunately I had to work but Coco and I took a nap together in the afternoon.

Ok folks. I am gonna gift some goodies to the clay studio that I go to, so the staff have something to nibble on. It's a pretty busy place. For those who are working customer service, would you recommend cookies or individually wrapped chocolates?

Do I skip my Locked Tomb re-read and watch The Lord of the Ring? it's been at least a decade and my embroidery UFO pile is tragic.

Also my partner works late all month.

This weekend I did a big public event with my family and went to the clay studio twice. My laundry isn't put away but I feel like I can meet my work commitments. So I've bounced back from COVID by taking a week of radical rest.

Gossip serves a social function. During a call where a friend reached out to us to help a mutual friend (gossip: X needs help), I dropped that Y&Z had a life shift and Friend was like OMG this can be mutually beneficial. Mutual Aid is gossip. Keeping people safe is gossip.

Folks! CR boxes are affordable and work. We used one for a year. The only reason we switched to a different air purifier is because we live in a small space and we need room for all our hobbies.

I'd be able to rest and see how much my #LongCOVID and other chronic conditions improve. I'd have more time for my art and relationships. I'd serve on the board of my housing co-operative.
Honest question: If everyone got Universal Basic Income, no strings attached, what would YOU do with it?

It's a single player cyberpunk rogue-light deckbuilder where a deck of playing cards is your character sheet.

Today I brained extra hard to train my co-workers and meet a deadline and it definitely confirmed that I'm working at my current most on a daily basis. Considering the fact that my partner is responsible for most of the cooking and housework, I probably shouldn't be working at all but capitalism.
