Hither came Saxon, the Nebraskan. From the windswept farmlands he strode, a partaker of wargames, a student of history, and, generally, a surly cuss.

An evening doodle while I was watching Discount Tukayyid games. Earlier today I listened to a BPL podcast episode where Eldonius Rex was being interviewed. He mentioned that his knowledge in art made it possible to draw mechs with flow and motion. That made me to think: Should I try to use mine?

Another part of my TAS project I need to return to. I put a fair amount of thought into this ship and it would be nice to document the design and lore around it as a small PDF.
Toying with the idea of doing my cargo ship blueprints Fact Files style.

I didn't really think I would like it as I had my heart set on the Franz Joseph style, but now I think I might go for a kind of scrapbook aesthetic. Like a fan has collected all of the different blueprints over the decades.

A pair of Thunderbolts painted up for Battletech. The smaller, plastic model was one of the first minis I ever painted, and the larger, metal one is my attempt at recreating the scheme today. I call them the Red Star Brigade. #minipainting

It's the nightshaded version for public release, sadly. But behold! @alblackwell.bsky.social 's depiction of the #GrandTitan sizing up with a poor, poor #Atlas in a boxing match.

The video this is apart of goes live in 9 hours!: youtu.be/eZpQc4Xxii0

Dearest K’Ehlar,

Tomorrow we will engage the Breen fleet. I do not know if I will survive, but my bat’leth is sharp, my fellow warriors are brave, we are all ready to journey to Sto’Vo’Kor. If it is my fate to fall tomorrow, tell young Larg and Melota of the glory I have brought to our house.

I forget, sometimes, just how big the Narcissus set was. It was a stuntman who went up the tailpipe, after all, so a full size rear had to be built.

It's a testamant to the miniature builders and the shooting team's sense of scale that this full-size set and the models fit togetehr seamlessly.

Finished the Screeming Skull!

I'm so happy with this custom. I focused on a cyberpunk aesthetic and think it works. It's a great #casting and has awesome deco. I really didn't need to do a lot to get it show ready.

The build off is next week, I hope this does well.

Moskva-Class Cruiser

Next in the Starfleet Museum is the Moskva, ordered by Starfleet after the Wasp-Class ended up short in several respects.

These cruisers were tasked to defend the early Federation's borders, probably frequently running into Klingon and Orion raiders.

Manticore tank for #Battletech painted in dazzle camo! A tank with a proper fusion engine? I bet it comes handy when looking for spares when a more expensive mech is cored out!

An Ontos will be next!

I've never really defined what my "TAS Project" is, because frankly I don't really know myself. I really just wanted to make a short fan animation in the style of The Animated Series using Blender.

It has turned into more of an excuse to build all of my favourite quirky TOS/TAS-era ships. 😅 [🧵]

The 'lowpoly' version, which actually has nearly the same number of polygons but simplifies some of the surface detailing a bit so the model won't just be a blob of lines when it's small in a scene. Tho honestly, I may need to simplify it even more still, we'll see.
