20 State AGs have sued Russell Vought for trying to starve the CFPB of funding.

Since 2011, the CFPB has returned over $20B to consumers.

Without the Bureau, financial predators and scammers will have an easier time picking your pocket.

The blockade of Venezuela is a disgusting echo of U.S. imperialism in Latin America. We were lied to about Iraq and WMDs, and an entire generation paid the price.

Here we are again.

We cannot let a wannabe dictator drag us into another forever war.

He just can’t get away from trying to defend the president without making it look like he has absolutely no idea what’s going on at any point in time…

BRENNAN: What are you going to do to force DOJ to comply?

MASSIE: The quickest way and most expeditious way to get justice for these victims is to bring inherent contempt against Pam Bondi. That doesn't require going through the courts. We're drafting that right now.

…But you may remember, the federal case ultimately was scrapped by Alex Acosta, so this grand jury investigation did not end up amounting to a federal indictment or prosecution

So the victim is coming forward and testifying to the *federal* grand jury, and this FBI witness is explaining to the jury why she sought & got an immunity agreement from the feds (because the local Florida prosecutor had spooked her into lawyering up)

This is a bit confusing but the above-referenced grand jury transcript is for the *federal* grand jury investigation of Epstein, and the witness is explaining the victim had been put in legal jeopardy for her statements made in the Palm Beach *Florida* criminal investigation,

this shit made it past the grand jury. It's not only cops that need to be called to account for this there's prosecutors at least one judge several clerks court officers etc. that were all part and parcel to this and not one of them believed that it was right or justice.

Jesus. I represented juveniles. These girls should have gotten juvenile Miranda warnings. They could be subject to prosecution as juvenile delinquents, at worst.

I hope it isn't too late to investigate and possibly penalize these cops for intimidating witnesses.

Not to mention saying they don't need a lawyer, then pursuing a line of questioning and threats that shows they ABSOLUTELY needed a lawyer present. Especially if the girls were underage.

They aren't alleging they are lying but threating them by saying they admitted to participating in some of the crimes, perhaps by helping to recruit some of the other victims or maybe helping to groom them. The cops are gross and incompetent as they should be helping to find ways to protect them.
