So (7) says to preserve—but strikes me more as create—the right of state and local govts to file criminal charges in excessive force cases.

Details will matter, but if that’s a statutory waiver of supremacy clause immunity, that strikes me as potentially a REALLY big deal.

one of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things

Ten years on from 2016 and people still have not internalized that a vote isn't an endorsement, nor a reward for politicians with good mouth noises. A vote is a lever of power, and the only one that you, the voter, have direct and unmitigated access to.

Sitting out elections is dereliction.

I truly love the people of Minneapolis MN! “We walk the same ground. We’re torn apart. Put down your weapons. Come sing your part” inviting ICE to see all people as humans and to join them in non violence. It’s Whoville from Dr Seuss comes to life - kindness and compassion personified. MN Strong!

I don't think this is over. The Alabama GOP won't seriously investigate Tuberville's residency, so it will be up to Democrats and the state courts.

I found the first investigative file from the first complainant against Epstein in 2005.

There are descriptions from the officer, over several interviews of the girl, of her pulling her knees up on the chair, drawing doodles, & the officer high-fiving her to keep her calm as she speaks of horror.
